To celebrate our fourth year in fashion we have opened up the gateway to a new dimension that hasn’t been covered very regularly here at Presents. Our new menswear section is now live. Mr himself will be taking over the reins for this special project and he has already completed his first mission.
#lovedenim
Debenhams have launched their #lovedenim campaign with a menswear blogger competition. Focusing on two key looks; smart for a dinner date and an outfit for a weekend gig, with a focus on the new Spring/Summer 14 collection at Debenhams, Mr has picked out his selection of pieces to fit into these two looks and tells us why he has chosen them.
Dinner Date
I’ve gone for a pale blue Jasper Conran oxford shirt which I think looks both stylish and comfortable. As it’s a dinner date with the beautiful , I’d wear it with a pair of smarter dark blue denim straight leg jeans such as these by Jeff Banks. This look is a smart one so the addition of Red Herring’s brown lace up shoes adds a good footnote. To finish the look, a dash of suave with a Jasper Conran blue wool blazer which I really like the detailing on and is a great look for the office too if you want to wear it during the day.
Causal outfit
For our evening at a gig (probably Gaslight Anthem or Hockey), I’ve made a more relaxed choice. Pairing a turquoise design graphic print teeshirt from Red Herring with a stylish but sporty navy Ben Sherman jacket. (I’d recommend wearing the jacket loose and open). I like the colour of the t-shirt as a bold statement for Spring and the lining of the Harrington jacket adds a bit of fun. These would work perfectly with a pair of classic light stone wash blue denim jeans from Lee Brooklyn and I just love the slightly different tone of the dark purple casual shoes from Call it Spring to complete the look.
