Spring Summer 13 from Derhy

At the Spring/Summer 13 London Fashion Week shows we were swept away to far off climes by PPQ, Issa London, and many more designers. There was a desire to day dream of Summer days spent far away, hot tropic isles, strolling La Croisette in Cannes seeking out the perfect coffee, cocktails on the beach.

Spring Summer 13 from Derhy

For our Spring/Summer 13 Lookbook we return to on of our favourite fashion labels, Derhy. We’ve been a little bit in love with the French fashion label since 2010, and now each season their season preview catalogue falls out of Elle Magazine, and as we turn the pages the collection continues to wow us each time.

You can check out their Spring/Summer collection here and we preview our favourite looks below.

Marvellous Monochrome

At LFW and at Fashion Month we saw a lot of throw backs to the 1960′s in psychedelic prints; short hemlines and flower power at LFW. Louis Vuitton take us there literally this season with monochrome 1960′s shift dresses and white headbands in the hair. It’s all chequerboard patterns and vibrant squares. Get the monochrome look in a simpler way, one that you might find easier to pull off. Whether it’s for the office, a night out of for a stylish weekend away.

Tantalising Tropics

Oh how we dream of warm days, bikinis and sarongs, cocktails and an explore of a tropic isle. Issa London swept us away for SS13 with birds of paradise, hot tropic colours; coral, burnt orange, canary yellow, leaf green. Derhy mix the cool white trend with a broderie white top teamed with hot multicoloured trousers. You will feel warmer and brighter just wearing them! The collection features a lot of corals and bright colours to really get that tropical edge

Soft Florals

Florals always seem to be “in”. On the catwalks rather than print it was all about 3D embossed florals and applique to add texture. But if you’re not keen to go too crazy then take the simple look with Derhy’s soft florals. Pack a punch with this cute floral skin fit jacket teamed with bright marine blue cigarette pants for a strong look or for those lazy summer days wandering markets and shopping then this floral print skirt is a winner.

Favourite

I simply love this dress. The Andromède. It makes me day dream about grabbing my bag and passport and heading off for a weekend away exploring a European city. Lightweight yet smart, cute pockets and a great Aztec style print. You can wear this with flipflops round the city teamed with a cross body tan satchel bag or glam up with hot coral heels and a oversized silver clutch for a night out. Perfect!

To get the looks above head to the Derhy website, switch the language to UK and get browsing. You might have to wait for some of the key S/S13 pieces to be stocked but you can also search online to see where Derhy is stocked; stockists include Amazon, John Lewis.
