French Style | Monochrome

It was an unseasonally warm day today which was perfect for a sunday walk and a little photo shoot. I couldn’t wait to sport my new Mono Feather Scalloped Top from Topshop that I recently spied on a fellow fashion blogger on instagram. Not my normal style, a scalloped edge but I was rather fond of it. Perfect for this kind of weather as it is a little thin, best get ready to layer up for Autumn!

French Style | Monochrome

This week’s French Style, La Redoute Brand Ambassador post goes back to the start. I hope that one of the reason’s I was selected as a Brand Ambassador for La Redoute is due to the fact that I shopped with them as a teenager. I have been in love with the French style shopping haven for some time. One of my first buys from La Redoute was a pair of satin black cigarette trousers, trés chic!

So this month one of my picks from La Redoute is the black 7/8 stretch satin cigarette trousers. A flash back to my youth and still an amazing fit. This is what drew me in to La Redoute in the first place, classic French style. These trousers will never go out of fashion, true style through and through.

I teamed my monochrome look for Autumn/Winter 14 with a super comfortable pair of suedette high heeled court shoes from La Redoute. There is a neutral tone suedette front cap with studded strap pair available but I went a little plain Jane with black (which is rare for me!) as I wanted to compliment the monochrome trend nicely for a great office look this season.

How are you working the monochrome trend for AW14? What is the one piece of fashion from your youth you wish could make a come back….?

My outfit today is the Mono feather scalloped top from Topshop, chunky necklace from eBay, The Joey Lauren Tote * from Fiorelli, Trousers and shoes * from La Redoute. Sunglasses by Rayban from Selfridges.
