I was lucky enough to spot young designer Luke Archer during the Alfa Romeo Young Designer of the year award in 2021 and along with his design partner George Jenkins the talented duo won the top accolade. Since then the Middlesex University graduate has worked extremely hard and his Spring/Summer 14 collection De L’Océan is just divine.
The bright blue of the collection for me just brings the heady summer days breezing over me. Imagine a beautiful azure blue ocean, white sands and relaxed attitude.
The De L’Océan collection consists of ready to wear and couture pieces based on inspiration from the animals that occupy the ocean, most notably the squid. The black in the collection adds an element of style – the darkness of a summers evening mixing with the bright bold patterns and intricate designs.
