I don’t know about you, but I am dreaming of warmer days, maybe heading to a beach far away and having some downtime in a country where I don’t have to wear a jacket all the time! This got me thinking about the ultimate travel essentials I need when I go away on holiday. So here are my top tips on the 5 awesome essentials to pack in your beach bag when you’re going away. I’ve got a rather cool infographic to demonstrate this below.
Now is the time of year when many people head out for a vacation to escape the winter blues. Whether it’s a quick trip to the Med or maybe a longer Spring Break over to an amazing destination like the Florida Panhandle. You will need to think about the vacation essentials you’ll be packing. So this is my custom checklist for the beach, wherever I am jetting off to.1. A good book (usually a travel book that leaves me dreaming of travel to far flung places) and magazine – I love the Collective Hub for inspiration whilst I am relaxing on the beach. I’m currently reading All the Stars in the Heavens by Adriana Trigiani
2. Givenchy sunglasses – I have to have sunglasses to shield the eyes and protect them in the sun, plus they look stylish
3. This Works in transit spray on moisture- for a quick spritz to soothe the skin in the heat
4. Colourful wedges for wearing whilst walking from the beach to the bar or shops- I’m not really one for flip flops, wedges are the way forward!
5. A coverup/sarong in a bright print – perfect for covering up in the heat but also styling up a great beach bar look!
Plus I make sure I pack them all in an awesome canvas shopper – no need for a designer beach bag – now that we have to pay for plastic bags in the UK – many stores have awesome reusable canvas shoppers so I make sure I pack one of them into my suitcase to use for the beach!
Whether there are just two of you or a party of plus 10, HomeAway has a great selection of properties. I have been dreaming of some winter sun in the Florida Panhandle since the team at HomeAway shared the destination with me. It has some amazing beaches, access to beautiful lighthouses, and, of course, Panama City Beach.
HomeAway offers an extensive selection of vacation rental homes in over 190 countries, providing travellers with memorable experiences and benefits, especially more room to relax, for less than traditional hotel accommodations. The company also makes it easy for vacation rental owners and property managers to advertise their properties and manage bookings online. It sounds fab to me. I think being able to stay in a home is far more relaxing than being in a hotel, providing it has a pool of course!
