French Style La Redoute Knitwear

The days are definitely getting colder and I am already suffering from my first cold of the season. So after a day in the office, Mr and I took a turn around the countryside of Kent. I wrapped up warm, ‘French Style’ in new season AW14 knitwear from La Redoute and we headed out to get some fresh air.

I’m not really an Autumn/Winter wardrobe kind of a girl, I think I’ve aired this point before. I’m also not one to layer and get excited about a winter coat (although if you read my latest weekly lust then this is changing!). But there is one thing that I do rather like an that is finding the softest, cosiest knitwear. In my October pick from French fashion destination La Redoute, I’ve found some.

This baby pink long sleeved cashmere wool sweater is divine. It does come up big as it’s one of those inbetweeny sizes that La Redoute favour, so it’s a 10/12. Since I’m more an 8/10 it is a little big for me, but I think I will welcome this in the true winter months. When I’ll need to have a teeshirt or vest top underneath and need to layer up.

It may have been a bit of a glam look for a country walk but I teamed my baby pink softer than soft sweater, with a necklace I bought from eBay. It has beautiful matching tonal jewels to the sweater and I also love the emerald green. Since that might have been a bit OTT for the walk when not taking photos, I wore my dragonfly print scarf from ScarfWorld.com.

Adding a pop of colour to the outfit is the gorgeous studded shoulder bag from La Redoute’s Mademoiselle R range in hot pink. Perfect for carrying all your essentials such as money for the quick trip to the pub en route. Plus it’s nice to have a cross body bag for a change rather than my shoulder taking the hit of a heavy handbag day in day out!

What’s your favourite piece you look forward to wearing during Autumn/Winter?
