This weekend we had the chance of a little mini-break; just in the next county along but it was a very relaxing afternoon and evening. I had booked a treat for Mr at Langshott Manor, part of the Utopia group of hotels in Horley, Surrey and it was just magnificent.
French Style: Le Weekend | La Redoute Brand Ambassador
Hailing from the 16th Century, we stayed in the Catherine of Aragon room overlooking the once moat, the hotel is set in three acres of lovely grounds and it is certainly a peaceful and beautiful boutique hotel.
I styled a casual French look for our Sunday, following a lovely breakfast we had a walk around the gardens, headed back to Tunbridge Wells for some of the usual Sunday DIY jobs and then we headed to the George & Dragon at Speldhurst for a spot of Sunday lunch. I had the mussels, he had the sausage and mash, it was yummy. Then we had a little photo shoot in Speldhurst Church grounds as I think it always offers a great backdrop.
It wasn’t really the weather for a sweater but I took it with me just in case, as it seems we’re already edging into Autumn!! The colour of this Mademoiselle R sweater is just fantastic, fuchsia pink, a fitted crew neck with a bobble effect on the front and made with 17% alpaca wool. Cosy yet stylish and the fitted cut and shorter length mean it’s great layered over dresses or paired with skirts. Sadly I’m sporting flat shoes due to a dodgy foot injury, I hope to be back in heels soon!
I’ve been officially welcomed to Team La Redoute with a feature on their blog which you can read here and I’ll be talking about their amazing Language of Love campaign at the start of September.
