I spend most of my winter coveting boots. It can sometimes be an endless search for the perfect pair. Do I want black, brown or a bold statement colour? Riding, knee high, ankle, chelsea boot? Style over function, or something to get me through a wet, wintery British day?
Well Hobbs, on the great British high street have the answer with a great range of Hobbs womens boots. There are three styles I usually look for. Firstly, the knee high, winter riding boot to tuck in my skinny jeans, style with a gilet and shirt on a winters walk.
So the NW3 Evie Longboots in Taupe are perfect because they are far from a boring colour. A little different but fabulous to team with the winter wardrobe and will look fabulous after a wintery walk when you take a seat in a country pub, wrapped up warm in a shearling jacket and dark blue skinny jeans.
Next on my style search is the winter wedge. I’m always on the lookout for the ultimate black wedge boot where the wedge is black too not an awful, gaudy brown cork or yellowing gummy plastic.
So the Black Grace Ankle Boots are perfect because the soft clay suede and rounded toe look fab with peg leg skinny trousers and your favourite over-sized sweater for a great relaxed chic winter look.
Finally I need a stylish boot to wear with skirts or trousers, to the office or to lunch with the girls. The all-round boot that will work with almost anything in your wardrobe.
So the Pansy Purple Bardot Shoe Boots are perfect because first off they aren’t black! Secondly the pinking detail is just so cute and the skinny stiletto silhouette means they work with skirts of all lengths, and peg leg or cigarette trousers. Dress up for a night out, power dress to the office. A fabulous alternative to you average court shoes for the office.
