Last year I had the opportunity to interview the fabulous makeup artist Ariane Poole as part of my “ Meets series”. Her dedication to enhancing womens natural beauty has made her an international name in the fashion and beauty industry over the last 25 years. Her philosophy on make-up is, “you that should notice the woman not the make-up; everyone should compliment YOU on how great YOU look!”

Following that mantra I have been testing out two products from the great arianepoole* range. Co-incidentally the two products that I was sent are prefect for hazel coloured eyes, which I have. I was really keen to test out the Eye Shine, in Stellar, a soft brownish bronze.
It’s a great layering product and feels luxurious, without being heavy on the eyelids. The Eye Shine is a liquid eyeshadow that glides on really nicely to give a sheer colour that lasts for hours. It dries quickly and you can build it up, I blend it with my fingertips but you can also use a shadow brush.
I have also applied other powders over the top to give a contrast of colours, it’s a great base and feels really nice to wear. Plus it’s hypoallergenic and paraben-free, which I do look for in my beauty products.
The next product to try was the Luxury Mascara in black. What is great about this mascara, and trust me I have tried many – is the shaping of the brush. For me, the curve to match the natural curve of your lashes meaning you get a great finish. The mascara doesn’t clog on the brush and it gives great definition to the eyes. You can see the mascara being used in the following instagram shots. I think it really enhances the eye.
