Beautiful fine silk scarves with a dimension of adventure

I have a confession to make. A fashion confession. I own a stack of scarves, so many that I have a drawer full of them. Yet I don’t know how to concur up the right style from fine silk scarves, gorgeous and colourful pieces of material.

I know I need to watch a youtube video of “How to wear a scarf 7 ways”, I’ve even written features about it previously. I have an intrigue with scarves, almost an obsession. I collect them for their beautiful design and precious materials and this is how I stumbled upon Celia Gould and the fine work she does, achieving style in silk with her fine silk scarves collection.

Celia Gould: Beautiful fine silk scarves with an edge of adventure

Combining her love of photography with design and silk fabrics, Celia Gould has created a stunning range of luxury scarves, perfect for a fashionista with a love for travel, art and style – uh-huh that’s me! If you’ve seen my Instagram feed you know that I love travelling.

Each scarf starts as a photograph from Celia’s adventures around the world. She captures her perspective of beauty on camera, and prints the memory onto fine silk scarves and other luxury fabrics, to be worn in numerous ways.

I love the honesty and the clarity in the images Celia uses. There’s something stark and almost mystical about the image used in the sell out Old City Jerusalem scarf.

Celia has a story to accompany every image she uses and on her website she tells of the night that she stayed at the Austrian Hospice in the depths of the Old City of Jerusalem, with views across the roofs to the Dome of the Rock and to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. “There was rain and the city was tense that evening, with sounds of fighting all through the night. We woke in the morning to find the air damp and full of suspense as we looked out from our window”.

With Celia Gould’s fine silk scarves it is almost like you are going on a journey. The scarves lead you into adventure, they surround you with a story and are bold and vibrant. You can capture the bustle of an urban city in your street style or float away to a calm landscape even in the city with London Spring, a gorgeous blend of blue skies and the warmth of blossom in the spring time.

One of the most popular in the collection is the Galilee Peacock scarf. Found in many cultures from Hinduism, to Asian spirituality and Christianity, the peacock is an emblem of good luck, love, benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion, good-will, nurturing, holiness and sanctity. Phew!

Celia explains on her website that this particular bird was seen on a day out at Gan Garoo in the Galilee. It’s fabulous that the prints are founded from genuine images, part of Celia’s life and the story that she wants to unravel with fine silk scarves.

Celia Gould’s fine silk scarves are available from £85.00 and range up to £225.00. You can see the range of stockists on Celia Gould’s website and make sure you follow her on Instagram and whilst you’re at it follow me too!
